About Us DIVERSE. was launched during the COVID-19 pandemic with the mission to help Black, Ethnic Minority and candidates from low-income backgrounds into employment. We’re a careers network supporting over 9,000 UK students, grads and young professionals with free careers education through events, training sessions and guides. Next, we help them get hired with exciting employers like Red Bull, Warner Bros. Discovery and Capital One. We also lead the recruitment and community management of Merky FC, a partnership with Stormzy and Adidas to help young Black professionals into employment in the football industry, working with brands like Sky Sports, VERSUS, LADbible and Manchester United. We’re Looking To Hire… A Business Development Manager who will be responsible for attracting and selling our services to exciting brands who want to meet and hire diverse young talent from our network. This will involve building relationships with employers and managing both outbound and inbound sales activity. Responsibilities Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll be getting up to: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in Early Careers, Talent Acquisition, HR and DEI Create and implement an effective business development strategy Generate inbound leads using a variety of channels Manage the outbound sales process, reaching out to relevant brands to partner with us Manage inbound requests from brands interested in partnering with us Complete the full sales process from initial calls or in-person sales meeting partner onboarding Create lead magnets to attract new prospects Research new prospects to ensure they align with our mission and to better understand their business Conduct market research and competitor analysis to stay ahead of trends Help host events and sessions for new prospects and current clients Manage some client relationships to ensure the partnership is working effectively for them Contribute to our client and prospect newsletter Collaborate with the marketing, client and community teams to improve our services and ensure the team is aligned on the deliverables for each partner About You We think you’ll love this role if this sounds like you: 5-7 years demonstrable experience in sales, business development, recruitment or similar Awesome at building relationships with new people Ability to understand the careers challenges facing under-represented young professionals Ability to understand the needs of and connect well with Early Careers, Talent Acquisition, Employer Branding and DEI/HR professionals Confidence to lead sales conversations and help host/speak at industry events You make things happen and challenge current ways of working Excellent communicator ️ Key Benefits Uncapped sales commission 25 days holiday Work from home Ability to work remotely outside the UK for up to 20 days each year Opportunity to make a significant impact on the UK by helping underrepresented young people get hired Ongoing sales support with our inhouse sales coach Salary £50k–£60k plus uncapped commission with OTE of £70k We’re unfortunately unable to provide visa sponsorship.
