We are seeking an NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 qualified Mechanical Engineer (Plumber) to join our team at HMP Winchester, a category B local, adult male prison.

We are a Ministry of Justice business and provide critical and time-bound services to HMPPS. We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with any combination of:
1. Two years' experience working in a role as a plumber or equivalent
2. Familiarity with and ability to work to Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements
3. Experience working on commercial or industrial heating and water systems
4. Good working knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements
5. Plumber qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and heating), and NVQ level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent
6. Good Health & Safety knowledge
7. Excellent organisational, time management, and people skills
