A great opportunity for the role of Procurement Category Manager has arisen within the Purchasing Department at Triumph Motorcycles, the UK’s largest motorcycles manufacturer and global leading heritage brand.
The Procurement Category Manager will lead and manage a team of Procurement Category Specialists / Buyers in Powertrain, Chassis Parts or Electrical Commodities in order to achieve best value for Triumph through the supply chain for direct components.
With their teams, they will develop category/commodity strategies and sourcing initiatives with the aim of:
* Maintaining and building on our high quality standards.
* Reducing development lead-times of new model parts.
* Reducing BOM cost.
* Bringing new market technologies to our products expediently.
Through their teams, they will ensure cross-functional collaboration with product, design and QC teams to arrive at balanced and considered outcomes. They will work with the wider product, design and QC functions and champion the development of the performance of our existing supply base. Where appropriate, they will identify new sources and rationalise our current supply base. They will analyse trends in their categories/commodities through their teams and advise on the most suitable sources for upcoming motorcycle development programmes.
