The Role
This position involves identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key responsibilities include conducting market research, preparing and delivering persuasive presentations, negotiating contracts, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.
The Business Development Manager is instrumental in helping clients achieve their branding and marketing goals while contributing to the business's overall success.
Business Development Manager Responsibilities
Perform prospecting activities to identify potential clients and generate leads.
Initiate contact and establish rapport with prospects via phone calls, emails, and in-person meetings.
Schedule appointments and meetings with prospective clients to discuss their signage and graphics needs.
Conduct in-depth consultations with clients to understand their branding objectives, messaging, and visual identity.
Offer expert advice and recommendations on signage solutions that align with clients' goals and budget.
Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and quotes detailing project specifications, pricing, and timelines.
Negotiate contract terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
Collaborate with internal production teams to ensure projects are executed according to client specifications and deadlines.
Follow up with clients to address questions or concerns and provide updates on project progress.
Manage CRM software to track client interactions, update contact information, and maintain accurate records.
Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to expand professional networks and promote the company's services.
Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with clients by providing exceptional service and ongoing support.
Seek referrals and testimonials from satisfied clients to generate repeat business and attract new customers.
Continuously update product knowledge and sales techniques through training, workshops, and self-study.
Achieve sales targets and objectives set by management, contributing to the company's overall success and growth.
Business Development Manager Requirements
2+ years sales experience (signs and graphics industry experience preferred).
Proven record of generating sales.
Excellent communication, presentation, and closing skills.
Ability to build and manage customer business relationships.
Strong focus and drive to consistently deliver results and meet or exceed goals.
