Job Title: Financial Institution Credit Officer

As a Financial Institution (FI) Credit Officer, you will be responsible for managing credit risk stemming from Deutsche Bank’s business activities across a broad portfolio of European financial institutions and sovereigns. The London team that you will be part of reports into the Global Head of FI Credit, based in New York.

Your key responsibilities:
* Responsibility for managing your own dedicated credit portfolio, including day-to-day transactional approvals, setting and approving counterparty credit limits, preparation of credit reviews, ongoing portfolio monitoring, negotiation of documentation, and participation in due diligence calls for both new and existing clients.
* Working closely with Sales/ Front Office as well as other risk & infrastructure functions (including Market Risk, Legal, Collateral Management, Operations).
* Interaction with senior management across the wider Credit Risk Management (CRM) organisation.
* Contributing to improvements in CRM processes via dedicated project work.
Your skills and experience:
* Relevant credit risk management experience with financial institutions, including banks, insurance companies, broker-dealers, clearing-houses, and exchanges.
* Product knowledge across major derivative instruments, securities financing, as well as more traditional lending products, including financing engagements involving investment banking mandates and letters of credit.
* Understanding of master trading documentation, particularly International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) agreements, Global Master Repo Agreements (GMRA), and Master Securities Lending Agreement (MSLA); this should include understanding and knowledge of the principal risk mitigating clauses employed across the industry.
* Familiarity with the credit rating process.
* Strong credit risk and financial analysis skills, with the ability to balance business demands with prudent risk management.
* Excellent verbal & written communication skills and ability to work under pressure. Must be assertive, highly motivated independent professional, as well as a strong team player.
