Role Definition:
To work in an effective and efficient manner as part of a small team to ensure that orders are made up and ready to go out on time within customer specifications
Despatch Operative:
To ensure the requests of the Despatch Supervisors are carried out in full, job allocation and rotation is carried out for efficient dispatch of goods and assist Despatch supervisor with all relevant paperwork.
To carry out duties required at assigned workstation in accordance
Prepare pallets of stock for dispatch to customers
To carry out the correct procedures for forklift use including, usage, charging, staff usage etc. and reporting any discrepancies to the Despatch Supervisor
To carry out safe loading and stacking or orders with forklift
Ensure paperwork is complete within the timescale and that delivery of goods is carried out to customer and company specification
Ensure that data scanning equipment is fully maintained and charged at all times and responsible under the dispatch supervisors' guidance for the input and output of all information collected.
To adhere to safe working practices in accordance with legislation and company rules and regulations
To work in a manner as to prevent or minimize the risk of accidents
To adhere to current legislation with regards to safe food production.
To ensure full understanding of all instructions given and ask for clarification if necessary
To be responsible for the security and effective use of consumables during day-to-day activities
To undertake such other reasonable duties as may from time to time be required
Carry out all duties with respect for Health and Safety and housekeeping standards and regulations
Promptly report any accidents, incidents or near misses to your manager or supervisor
Observe Company policy on flexibility by moving to any other job necessary
Undertake training/retraining and train other employees as required
Observe Company philosophy on proposals and continuous improvement for the betterment of plant, methods, working environment and efficiency
Observe and adhere to the Company's Equal Opportunities Policy, ensuring that a neutral environment is maintained
