The Role:
The Business Risk and Control Senior Analyst (MCA) is a seasoned professional role that applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge to improve processes and workflow. This role requires a good understanding of how areas integrate within the sub-function and contribute to overall business objectives.
The Business Risk and Control Senior Analyst (MCA) will support the Legal Risk & Control Team and focus on implementing new BAU transformation processes while ensuring adherence to firm-wide initiatives and requirements.
Responsibilities:
* Contribute to the governance and execution of the Manager Control Assessment (MCA).
* Perform centralized MCA monitoring/testing and report results.
* Support the quality and accuracy of the Control Framework implementation.
* Monitor and test control breaches and disseminate learnings for process improvement.
* Support the review and challenge process on the design and management of controls.
* Assist with risk and control assessments for various risk stripes.
* Ensure risk and control responsibilities are embedded within the organization.
* Ensure timely execution of transformation milestones in Global Legal and RSP functions.
* Participate in Global Function Partner discussions to enhance the control environment.
* Identify and follow up on control weaknesses and monitor progress.
* Participate in controls-related projects affecting Legal & RSP organizations.
* Assess risk when business decisions are made and drive compliance with applicable laws.
Qualifications:
* Several years of Project Management experience in financial services or legal disciplines.
* Proficient with the Manager’s Control Assessment module.
* Experience with work-flow systems.
* Excellent project management and organizational skills.
* Outstanding relationship building and management skills.
* Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong skills in Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel.
* Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
Education:
Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.
