A rare opportunity for an individual to fulfil an exciting and varied role as an Environmental Loss Adjuster dealing with property & liability claims. Previous experience with environmental losses is not essential as full training will be provided. In this role, you will be responsible for investigating the circumstances of oil escapes and other pollution and contamination losses. You will proactively negotiate and settle claims in accordance with agreed authority and targets, ensuring a high-quality claims service. Managing your own caseload with oversight of environmental consultants, you will provide exceptional support to policyholders and other stakeholders throughout the claims process to reduce lifecycles. Your duties will also include quantifying, validating, and negotiating complex claims, determining policy and legal liability, and liaising with underwriters on indemnity issues. The skills you will have when you apply: Liability & property claims: Proven experience in investigating/handling liability and/or property claims (not necessarily environmental) Experience of interpreting and applying client policies, philosophies and processes Communication : Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, Analytical: The ability to be detailed and interpret information and data accurately; Full UK driving licence is essential.
