What You’ll Achieve as a Health and Safety Manager: • Foster a culture where safety and sustainability are embedded in every action—across site operations, contractors, and visitors. • Design and implement cutting-edge, risk-based assurance systems. • Lead by example to deliver continuous improvements in safety and environmental performance. Key Responsibilities as a Health and Safety Manager: • Champion a proactive, resilient safety culture. • Establish and maintain robust health and safety procedures. • Ensure compliance with all industry regulations and legislative standards. • Develop and update risk assessments for all site activities. • Identify training needs and drive workforce competency development. • Guarantee all personnel, including contractors, hold the necessary accredited certifications. • Oversee contractor safety to ensure CDM compliance and adherence to RAMS. • Lead investigations into accidents, near-misses, and incidents with precision and insight. • Conduct detailed inspections and audits, ensuring prompt resolution of safety concerns. • Create impactful safety reports, bulletins, and performance updates to keep teams informed and engaged. Expertise required as a Health and Safety Manager in this role: • Prior experience as a Health and Safety Manager. • The NEBOSH General Certification. • Proficiency in risk assessments and investigations. • Training in accident investigations. • A comprehensive understanding of operational safety in critical infrastructure.
