Purpose of the Role:
As an Area Manager, your primary purpose is to lead and drive the operational and strategic success of your area by overseeing multiple store managers and their teams. Collaborating closely with Senior Retail Management, Retail Operations, and the People team, you will lead initiatives that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency. Your goal is to ensure that all stores within your region consistently exceed sales targets and deliver outstanding customer experience. In this role, you will implement strategies that maximize revenue growth and customer satisfaction, while maintaining alignment with the brand’s values and long-term objectives. You foster a culture of leadership development, ensuring that store managers are empowered to make decisions that align with company goals and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement regional strategies that leverage customer and sales data to enhance operational effectiveness and market presence.
* Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of these strategies, making data-driven adjustments to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
* Ensure all store operations adhere to company policies, maintaining high standards for efficiency and customer service. Proactively develop and implement enhancements in operational processes to boost customer interactions and overall store performance, while upholding our commitment to high ethical standards.
* Manage all financial aspects of area operations, including budget management, forecasting, and financial reporting.
* Utilise financial data to guide operational decisions, demonstrating a strong ROI for actions under your leadership.
* Lead exceptional customer service, guiding store management teams in the creation of engaging customer experiences, consistently embedding the Moss Essential Steps of Service as the standard, putting the customer at the forefront of all you do.
* Actively manage customer feedback, using insights to make improvements and foster a customer-centric store.
* Lead and mentor Store Managers, fostering an environment that encourages professional growth, teamwork, and high performance.
* Confident in all People processes that support the colleague lifecycle, driving recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of store teams, working closely with the People, Recruitment and L&D teams to ensure a fit with Moss’s cultural and operational standards.
* Manage talent development and succession planning, ensuring continuous leadership and operational excellence across all locations, utilising Dual Store Manager & Store Support Manager roles where appropriate.

Technical:
* Experienced in retail operations and customer service, with a deep understanding of Menswear fashion trends and inclusive tailoring.
* Proficient in data analytics, leveraging insights to drive store success, improve customer experiences, and achieve business KPIs.
* Knowledgeable in developing and executing retail business growth strategies, focusing on sales, cost management, and profit optimisation.
* Knowledgeable in recruitment, retention, and succession planning, focusing on building and maintaining a high-performing team to sustain long-term growth and operational excellence.
* Skilled in creating diverse and brand-aligned visual displays, ensuring high operational and visual standards across all locations.
