The PM CoE is a dedicated team of 300+ individuals that provide support to our audit and assurance practitioners through a wide range of services, this includes project leadership, coordination, and administration.
The PM CoE purpose is to improve the project management of audit and assurance engagements, and transformation projects across the UK. We work alongside the practitioners to standardise the project management approach by promoting the right tools, methodology and work priorities to help complete audit and assurance engagements and transformation projects on time and in the most effective manner.
To help achieve this we continue to grow our team of professionals to support with the project management of external audit and assurance projects ranging from junior PSAs to more senior Project Manager support.

In the Project Support Associate (PSA) role, you will have work on a variety of critical tasks that will require coordinating across an allocated portfolio across one of our business units: audit, assurance, or internal projects.
In your role you will be expected to take ownership and responsibility for a wide range of tasks, working alongside your project team teams to deliver exceptional service internally or directly to a client engagement. No two days are the same, with a list of upward of 70 tasks there is plenty to learn and coordinate, you are provided with operating procedures, guides, training, and plenty of support that gives a strong level of support to succeed.
Key responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
* communication and building strong relationships with members of the project teams to extract and challenge information required to accurately plan project support tasks
* coordinating the booking and subsequent usage of our onshore and offshore delivery centres, ensuring deadlines and task requirements are met
* sharing and applying project management knowledge across the department, supporting newer team members when an appropriate level of experience is achieved, directing project teams on the correct course of action based on task process guidelines
* continued identification and implementation of service improvements and efficiencies through agile project management methodology
* general admin support such as: minute taking, meeting booking, system/database updates, pulling and issuing reports
You will work as part of an established and structured team within a department that continues to grow. The career pathway, taking you from Associate through to Senior Project Manager, and people leadership structure will provide you with support and accountability to progress within your role and enable room for development and growth within the department and wider firm. The career pathway provides the opportunity to benefit from tailored project management training, coaching, and 'on-the-job' experience enabling you to develop your project management skills over several years.
You will have the opportunity to build strong relationships with a range of different colleagues from peers through to directors and deliver exceptional service in a department where high quality and attention to detail are key.
Start date: 17th February 2025
Please note: you will be required to attend the Cardiff office daily during your first 2 weeks for induction and training.

ESSENTIAL:
* Personal motivation to deliver high-quality standards in all work
* Competent in reviewing a variety of information and spotting and rectifying discrepancies, this could be in the form of data, emails, and varying documentation
* Ability to challenge colleagues, both peer and senior, in a positive and professional manner to achieve the best possible outcome
* Approach that continuously drives efficiencies and improvements, not afraid to challenge the status quo to achieve a better way of working
DESIRABLE:
* Project Management support/administration
* Experience in a professional services role, audit, financial or regulatory knowledge
* Broad level of excel knowledge:
o data interpretation and manipulation using pivots and formulas (SUMIF, COUNTIF, IF statements)
o data presentation to include the creation of graphs, tables, etc

Personal independence
Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships). This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm).
