Job Overview
Ward AM1 is an acute medical ward specializing in respiratory medicine. We treat patients with a full range of respiratory diseases including: COPD, Asthma, Lung Cancer, Bronchiectasis, Sleep Apnoea, and Infectious Lung disease.
All of our registered nurses receive training to care for patients on non-invasive ventilation, patients with altered airways, tracheostomy/laryngectomy, and chest drains.
We also care for patients with general medical complex conditions. It is a busy, fast-paced ward and we are very MDT focused to enable us to provide the best care for our patients.
Main Duties of the Job
We are looking for an efficient, enthusiastic, highly motivated nurse with good interpersonal and communication skills to work on our respiratory ward. You will be joining our friendly and dynamic team with excellent standards and great work ethic. You will be supported to develop into the band 5 role through preceptorship, peer support, and an exciting range of educational opportunities.
