Acquisitions and Development Manager
£70,000 to £79,200 plus great benefits (Work Level 5)
Hybrid role, you’ll be splitting your time between home and travel around the north-east of England, with occasional visits to our head office in Manchester.
Full UK driving license required.
We’re looking for an Acquisitions and Development Manager to join our Property team at Co-op. You’ll be responsible for your geographical area of the country and support with all property acquisitions, relocations, and developments. Primarily you will work on sourcing new convenience stores and relocations for existing ones. You’ll proactively look for opportunities to add new value from the development of our property estate.
What you’ll do
* Be responsible for sourcing new stores and relocations for your area.
* Discuss opportunities for acquisitions with external agents and developers.
* Negotiate contracts and leases.
* Oversee projects from identification to launch.
* Work collaboratively across multiple teams to continuously improve processes.
* Make recommendations to senior partners on significant financial decisions.
This role would suit people who have
* Experience as an acquisition manager for a retail business.
* Experience in a related property field.
* A proactive, driven, positive and collaborative approach with the ability to succeed in a competitive market.
* The ability to work on your own and as part of a team and prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment.
* A valid UK drivers licence.
