A leading provider of high-quality precast concrete products, known for its innovative solutions and commitment to excellence, is currently seeking an experienced and committed Site Engineer to join its team on a large energy project. The company specializes in delivering custom precast solutions for a wide range of projects, including infrastructure, industrial, commercial, and residential developments.
As a Site Engineer, you will play a key role in overseeing the installation and execution of precast concrete elements on the project. You will collaborate with project managers, design teams, and contractors to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This is a contract position and you will be paid a daily rate.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Supervise and coordinate the installation of precast concrete components on-site.
2. Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
3. Monitor site progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to prevent delays or rework.
4. Provide technical guidance and support to the construction team, including resolving design and construction challenges.
5. Liaise with design engineers to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation of drawings and specifications.
6. Conduct inspections and quality checks on precast products and installation processes.
7. Ensure all materials and workmanship meet the required standards and specifications.
8. Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations on-site.
9. Conduct regular safety briefings and ensure all personnel are aware of safety protocols.
10. Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and site measurements.
11. Report regularly to the Contracts Manager managing the project.
What You’ll Need
1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as a Site Engineer; precast concrete industry experience desirable but not essential.
3. Knowledge of precast concrete products and installation techniques.
4. Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
5. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
7. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality and safety.
