The Role As an Art Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will have the opportunity to deliver a stimulating art curriculum, helping students explore their creativity and develop their artistic skills through various techniques and media. This is an excellent opportunity for an ECT to gain valuable classroom experience while working alongside experienced teachers who will provide guidance and mentorship. Key Responsibilities Teaching and Delivering Lessons: Plan and deliver engaging lessons across a variety of artistic mediums, ensuring that students are inspired to explore their creativity while being supported in their learning. Fostering Creativity: Encourage students to experiment with different artistic techniques and media, helping them build their skills and express their creative ideas confidently. Assessment and Feedback: Assess students’ progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to help them improve and develop their artistic abilities. Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues in the Art Department, sharing ideas and resources to ensure consistency and high standards across the department. Extra-Curricular Activities: Support and participate in extra-curricular initiatives such as art clubs and exhibitions, offering students opportunities to showcase their work and further their artistic development. What We Are Looking For Qualifications: A degree in Art or a related subject, along with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant teaching qualification.
