Global Sales Manager
Location: Hampshire
Salary: Circa £70,000 + Commission and Benefits
Our client, a market-leading global engineering company based in Hampshire, is looking for an experienced Global Sales Manager to lead the growth and expansion of their Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) business worldwide. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated sales professional with a strong technical background to play a key role in promoting and selling advanced subsea technologies to a diverse international customer base.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the global sales strategy for Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers (ADCPs), driving business growth across key regions and sectors.
2. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, providing expert technical advice and ensuring the optimal application of ADCP technology.
3. Collaborate with resellers, distributors, and remote regional sales teams to drive product adoption and achieve sales targets.
4. Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to contract negotiation, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term business development.
5. Develop and present high-quality technical proposals, tailored to meet the needs of specific markets and customers.
6. Deliver impactful presentations and technical papers at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings to raise product awareness and generate leads.
7. Analyse market trends, identify new business opportunities, and refine sales strategies to capitalise on emerging demands within the subsea and marine sectors.
8. Achieve or exceed annual sales targets, maintaining a strong focus on commercial performance in a competitive market.
Essential Experience and Skills:
1. Proven experience and in-depth knowledge of Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers (ADCPs), or similar marine or subsea measurement technologies.
2. A successful sales background in global markets, with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets in a technically complex environment.
3. Strong technical acumen and the ability to engage customers in detailed technical discussions, providing solutions that meet their operational needs.
4. Experience working with resellers, distributors, and remote sales teams to drive regional and international sales.
5. Excellent contract negotiation skills, with a track record of securing deals and managing the commercial aspects of sales agreements.
6. Expertise in market analysis, identifying trends, and developing strategies to address market needs.
7. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
8. Willingness to travel internationally to meet clients, attend trade shows, and promote products in key global markets.
