Job Summary
As a Public Sector Consultant/Business Analyst, you will conduct effective analysis to clarify, define, or evaluate business problems, opportunities, or requirements for change and deliver solutions using the client’s chosen methodology (e.g., SAFe Agile). You will use your influencing, negotiation, and communication skills to challenge business requirements where appropriate, working closely with the client SMEs, key stakeholders, and other suppliers to ensure that solutions developed are viable within the operating environment and focused on delivering the anticipated benefits. You will also support the effective management of change by providing clear insight into the business’ readiness for change and the impacts on people, processes, and systems. A good understanding of data and the relationship with process is also required.
Required Skills:
* Experience of working with UK Public Sector clients: Minimum of five years working within Public Sector client delivery.
* Ability to use core analytical techniques including:
1. Definition and documentation of business requirements in line with Agile methodology.
2. Business process modeling.
3. Data flow modeling.
4. GAP/SWOT analysis.
5. Cost/benefit analysis.
6. Traceability Matrix.
7. Stakeholder mapping.
1. Product lifecycle management.
2. Experience of data projects, transformation initiatives, and large-scale IT implementation.
3. Work experience in Public Sector projects running with GDS methods - Discovery, Alpha, Beta, Live.
4. Agile, preferably SAFe, Scrum concepts.
5. Strong Stakeholder Management skills - experienced working in a complex client environment, large programs, and able to develop working relationships with diverse groups of stakeholders and SMEs.
6. Core consulting skills - strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
7. Strong organizational and planning skills.
8. Holds Security Clearance or is clearable.
Communicating and Influencing:
* Client stakeholders - varying levels e.g., Business SMEs, Client Leadership.
* Programme Management across the Client, Cognizant, and 3rd Party Suppliers.
* Project Managers.
* Business Analysts.
* Scrum Masters.
* Delivery project and Account Leadership.
Key Accountabilities:
Support Delivery Management:
* BA and Project Management activities on client accounts.
* Risks and Issues related to deliverables.
* Preparation for key programme meetings.
* Ownership of project deliverables.
* Input to project planning activities.
* Resource management within a team and across multiple teams.
Support Practice Management:
* Support the Practice in growing relationships and our presence within our Clients and overall, in the Public Sector vertical.
* Stay aligned with and support Practice development activities.
* Take responsibility for allocated Practice Management activities.
