An established, market-leading manufacturing business in Burnley is seeking a Finance Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract (FTC) basis, working full-time on-site and leading a small team.
Your new role
As a Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations of the company. You will manage the UK finance team, leading the preparation of monthly and annual financial closes for the UK division. Your responsibilities will include managing financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ensuring the accuracy of manufactured and purchased product costs, and maintaining compliance with financial regulations. You will also provide financial support to the local management team and the Financial Controller, assist with accounts payable and receivable, and handle VAT and corporate tax returns.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will be either a part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), or be qualified by experience (QBE), with significant experience in a similar finance management position. You will have worked within a manufacturing environment with cost accounting experience. Proficiency in Excel is required, as well as experience of managing staff and leading a team.
