Job Title: Senior Accountant (RTR) Location: Leeds, UK (Fully site-based) Contract Duration: March 2025 Day Rate: £430 per day Job Description: Inventum Group, on behalf of a prestigious global luxury brand, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage Record to Report (RTR) tasks within their finance function. This role involves statutory accounts, reconciliation, reporting, compliance with Group Policies, and potentially supervising a small team. Key Responsibilities: Financial Management: Reconcile and approve RTR balances and manual journal adjustments. Prepare and review RTR reports for internal and external reporting. Manage end-to-end processes and reporting for assigned functional areas. Prepare and review statutory accounts. Act as a key contact for finance teams and external auditors. Address stakeholder queries, providing timely analysis and resolution. Supervise and review the work of direct reports, offering regular feedback. Ensure compliance with internal controls over financial reporting. Occasional weekend/public holiday work required during reporting periods. Continuous Improvement: Identify gaps in accounting processes and propose improvement measures. Collaborate with process owners and managers to analyse root causes. Seek and incorporate feedback from team members and internal/external customers. Qualifications & Experience: ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent (studying towards or completed). 3 years of relevant accounting experience. Experience with statutory accounts preparation is essential. Knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP. Experience with advanced Excel and complex financial models. SAP certification is a plus. Experience in retail, FMCG, or large multinational companies is preferred. Ability to work collaboratively with peers and manage stakeholder relationships. Skills: Strong relationship-building and communication skills. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to corporate policies. Strategic thinker with the ability to foresee future challenges and opportunities. Proficiency in analysing financial data to extract trends and support decision-making.
