Job Title: Support Worker

Job Summary:
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join our team across multiple sites in Wiltshire. The ideal candidate will have experience and essential training in specialized areas of care and be committed to providing the highest standard of support for individuals in need. This role requires driving due to limited transport links and the need to support service users at various locations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide Support: Deliver personalized support, maintaining dignity and respect for each individual.
* Assist with Mobility: Utilize moving and handling techniques, including hoist usage, to safely assist clients with mobility.
* Medical and Medication Management: Administer medication per policy, assist with PEG feeding, and support individuals with conditions like PKU, diabetes, and dysphagia.
* Behavioral Support: Provide verbal behavioral support and handle challenging behaviors.
* Epilepsy and Medication Awareness: Recognize and respond to epilepsy and administer Buccal Midazolam as required.
* Speech and Language Therapy (SALT): Collaborate with Speech and Language professionals, implementing verbal and non-verbal communication techniques.

* Mandatory Core Training
* Practical Moving and Handling
* Epilepsy Awareness
* Buccal Midazolam
* Dysphagia Awareness
* Diabetes Awareness
* Medication Administration
Additional Requirements: Verbal Behavioral Support, S.A.L.T. (Speech and Language Therapy), Challenging Behaviors training.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Completion of mandatory training in the listed areas.
* Experience with special needs, including diabetes, epilepsy, and dysphagia.
* Practical knowledge in behavioral support techniques.
* Moving and handling practical certificate is essential.
* Valid UK driving license (preferably due to transport requirements).
Preferred Attributes:
* Prior experience in healthcare or support roles.
* Ability to manage challenging behaviors with patience and professionalism.
* Adaptability to various environments and ability to work independently.
