Be part of the journey. 8-week Summer Industrial Placement Programme (Rochdale) Introduction An exciting opportunity to gain meaningful experience within a dynamic UK led international electronics company operating in high technology sectors. TT Electronics is pushing the boundaries in developments for the future in more electrified, smarter and greener technologies. TT Electronics products can be found from deepest space to below the ocean floor. Our customers include many of the leading players in their markets, such as Airbus, Rolls Royce, Alstom, Honeywell, BAE Systems and Baker Hughes. We have created a programme across our UK sites that not only increases your technical skills, but gives you the opportunity to work on meaningful real life projects, alongside experienced engineers across our business. This programme is remunerated £23,800 per annum pro-rata. You will receive coaching and support to achieve your personal goals and work in multidisciplinary teams to gain as much experience across the product lifecycle from your time in industry as possible. Our ultimate aim is to see you through your undergrad years and with the potential for further placements and Graduate opportunities. What you will do as a Summer Placement Engineer: Look forward to working with highly skilled professionals who are passionate about their work of designing and developing cutting edge technology for a worldwide market. We have several sites across England and Wales, from the north to the south, each specialising in different products and technologies, including power electronics, microcircuits, test equipment, human machine interfaces, sensors, magnetics, semiconductor components, cables and connectors. Report to an experienced Engineer who will provide day to day guidance and on-the-job training. Be introduced to the Engineering development processes and utilise state-of-the-art methods, technology and tools. Gain experience on one or more aspects of the Engineering development lifecycle, which could include: applied research, requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and test. Particular emphasis will be placed on learning practical skills that may not be easily gained or experienced in the academic environment of a university. Receive coaching and support to achieve your personal goals and work in multidisciplinary teams to gain as much experience across the product lifecycle from your time in industry as possible. What we are looking for This is an exciting and challenging Engineering opportunity for students currently studying a science-based degree e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Electronic Engineering, Physics (BSc (Hon) / BEng (Hon) / MEng). A full statement of courses and projects studied at university and corresponding grades/marks/percentage should be included in your CV. Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge Required Be enthusiastic and passionate about Engineering. Right to residency and right to work in the UK. Applications are also welcomed from candidates who have completed a first degree and are looking to gain industrial experience prior to commencing a relevant higher degree (i.e. PhD, MSc). Please include a personal statement of no more than 300 words stating what excites you about the engineering and manufacturing sector. Role Requirements All of our Summer Placement roles require you to be currently studying a relevant degree discipline such as Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, or other STEM subject degrees. The role will be based at our (Fairford, Bedlington or Manchester locations). Successful candidates will be expected to be able to travel to their site of employment on a daily basis.
