Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to take charge of our financial invoicing, reconciliation, and reporting. This role is essential to free up our Operations Manager, streamline financial processes, and support our commercial efforts, including generating quotes for our sister company, PLUG Charging.
As a key member of our team, you’ll bring precision and efficiency to financial operations while helping drive the financial backbone of our growing business.
Responsibilities:
Invoicing & Accounts Management:
1. Prepare, issue, and manage invoices across FleetEV and PLUG Charging.
2. Monitor accounts receivable and payable to ensure timely payments.
3. Perform bank and system reconciliations, bringing financial operations in-house.
4. Generate monthly and ad-hoc financial reports for internal stakeholders.
5. Assist in preparing budgets and forecasting financial performance.
Quote Generation:
1. Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to generate accurate and timely quotes for PLUG Charging projects.
Process Improvement:
1. Identify and implement improvements in financial workflows to enhance efficiency.
2. Liaise with external accountants as needed for compliance and statutory filings.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience in bookkeeping or financial management roles.
2. Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
3. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
4. Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and external partners.
5. Ability to work independently and handle confidential information with integrity.
6. Experience in the e-vehicle or energy industry.
7. Understanding of UK tax regulations and VAT processes.
8. Familiarity with quoting and commercial finance in a B2B context.
Salary and Benefits:
* Competitive salary of up to between £25,000-£30,000 (flexible for the right person).

Location:
This role is based in Cardiff with a minimum of 3 days a week in the office with hybrid working optional. Please note, applicants must live in the UK and within 40 mile radius of Cardiff.
