Job Description
Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? We’re seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a school in the CV7 area that specialises in providing exceptional support for students with Autism and other additional needs. Your role will include one-to-one and small group support, assisting with personal care, and creating a safe, nurturing environment for all learners.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide daily learning and developmental support to students
* Work collaboratively with class teachers to deliver lessons and activities
* Offer one-to-one and small group assistance, guiding students with classwork and personal development
* Assist with personal care and medical needs when required
* Continuously assess and report students’ progress
* Foster a positive environment that prioritises emotional and social development
Required Experience
* Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one
* Previous experience working with children or adults with additional needs
* Relevant qualifications in education or teaching support
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
