Operations & Facilities Manager Location: Worcestershire, UK Salary: £42,000 - £52,000 p/a Company Overview: My client is a leading manufacturer in the UK and European construction industry. Operating from a purpose-built facility in Worcestershire they deliver innovative, reliable, & precision-engineered products for a wide range of construction projects. Due to continued growth, we are now seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to join our team and help drive the company’s operational performance across key business functions. Job Role: The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the daily tasks required to run a smooth operation. This pivotal role requires a strategic and results-driven leader who can make decisions within defined parameters, lead & motivate a team, and ensure the business achieves its operational goals. The successful candidate will contribute to the operational efficiency of the company, ensuring that resources are utilized effectively, operational processes run smoothly, and safety standards are upheld at all times. Key Responsibilities: · Warehouse Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including liaising with supervisory team to ensure all processes are adhered to and daily tasks are completed to the highest standard. · Logistics & Stock Control: Ensure the timely & cost-effective delivery of products to customers and work with Inventory Team to manage stock control processes to prevent shortages or overstocking. Monitor logistics activities and implement improvements where necessary. · Goods In/Out: Oversee the goods-in process, ensuring all incoming stock is inspected, recorded, and stored appropriately. Ensure that outgoing goods are prepared for dispatch in a timely and accurate manner. · Health & Safety: Ensure the business complies with all UK health and safety regulations and implement safe working practices within the warehouse and logistics operations. Conduct regular health and safety audits and drive a culture of safety across the team. · Human Resources & People Management: Lead and manage a diverse team of warehouse staff, logistics coordinators, and stock management personal. Responsible for recruitment, training, performance management, and ensuring a positive working environment. · Facilities & Equipment: Responsible for inspection & maintenance of all on-site equipment and grounds. Regular repair / service & improvement plans to be presented to ensure uninterrupted operations. · Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements across operations, implement new systems and technologies to improve efficiency, and monitor performance metrics to assess progress. · Collaboration with Senior Management: Work closely with senior management to align operations with the broader strategic goals of the company. Provide regular reports and updates on operational performance, stock levels, safety compliance, and other key metrics. Key Requirements: · Proven experience as an Operations Manager or in a similar role, ideally within manufacturing, warehousing and distribution industries. · Strong understanding of warehouse management, logistics, stock control, and goods-in processes. · Knowledge of UK health and safety regulations and experience implementing safety protocols. · Exceptional leadership and people management skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve operational goals. · Excellent decision-making skills and the ability to think strategically within defined parameters. · Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple functions effectively. · Familiarity with relevant software tools and systems used in warehouse management, logistics, and stock control. · A proactive approach to problem-solving with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. · A degree or equivalent qualification in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is desirable, but not essential.
