Software Quality Assurance Engineer (Automation Tester) Software Quality Assurance Engineer / Automation Tester 3-6 months contract (initially) Remote Working Market Rates (Outside-IR35) The Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced Software Quality Assurance Engineer to consult on a major central government project that will see you involved with the ongoing quality assurance for the delivery of a range of innovative solutions being developed that are focused on digital-twin technology. Ideally candidates will be familiar with the Government Digital Services (GDS / GOV-UK) platform and have demonstrable experience consulting with the required technologies detailed below. Skills and Experience: Essential: Performance Testing: JMeter, BlazeMeter Cross-device Testing: BrowserStack Programming Languages: JavaScript, TypeScript BDD: Cucumber/Gherkin Accessibility: WAVE, pa11y Security: OWASP ZAP / Dependency Check Browser Test Automation: Cypress, Selenium Browser Developer Tools: Lighthouse, JavaScript debug console API Testing: Knowledge of RESTful APIs and proficiency in using tools like Postman or Newman to validate data integrity Version Control: Strong knowledge of Git and platforms like GitHub or GitLab for version control and collaboration Desirable: GOV-UK Design System: Familiarity working with the GOV-UK Design System and assuring compliance with design patterns CI/CD: Experience configuring CI/CD pipelines for executing automated tests N.B.
