About the Role: Deliver engaging and challenging Sociology lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5, following relevant examination specifications. Plan and prepare high-quality lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities, ensuring all students are challenged and supported. Utilize a range of teaching methods and resources, including case studies, sociological theories, and current events, to bring sociology to life. Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning journeys. Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Sociology examinations, ensuring they have a strong understanding of assessment criteria. Contribute to the development of the Sociology curriculum and resources. Foster a love of sociology in students, encouraging them to develop their analytical and research skills. Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment. Contribute to extracurricular activities and enrichment programs related to sociology and social justice. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Strong subject knowledge in Sociology. Demonstrated ability to teach across Key Stages 4 and 5. Experience in preparing students for GCSE and A-Level Sociology examinations. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and research skills. Ability to inspire and motivate students of all backgrounds. A passion for sociology and a commitment to fostering social awareness.
