About the job Job summary The Ministry of Defence employs over 50,000 Civil Servants. Within that, the Army Top Level Budget (TLB) employs around 7,000 MOD Civil Servants located at over 300 locations. Ours is a diverse workforce, with roles ranging from trainers, human resources, teachers, and psychologists to storekeepers, financiers, project and programme managers, and policy secretariat staff. There are many different functions and professions delivering key outputs for the Army. As such using data to aid understanding of our workforce is vital. Manage and support assigned Personnel on Recovery Duty (PRD) and provide support to wider Field Army units in the management and administration of PRD, todeliver the swiftest return to duty or supported transition to civilian life for PRD in order to maximise deployability in direct support to the Armys Main Effort. This position is advertised at 37 hours per week. Job description In this role, the successful candidate will: Provide close support to PRD throughout their recovery pathway, either to enable them to return to duty or to make a smooth transition to civilian life. Manage, supervise, and direct PRD in accordance with Policy & Direction in conjunction with the Army Recovery Capabilities (ARC) Directive and direction and advice from the clinical chain of command. Deliver formal case briefings every 28 days. Responsible to the Officer Commanding (OC) and Senior Case Manager (SCM) for the accurate completion of mandated casework and detailed briefings across a highly specialised Multi-Disciplinary Team at monthly case reviews. Provide a peripatetic service, visiting PRD, Officers, and Soldiers (and their families) assigned to the Personnel Recovery Unit (PRU), in order to ensure safety, supervision, support and assurance that Recovery Duty is being undertaken. Be included within a team Duty PRO roster which when on duty, provide support across the Company PRD cohort, which may require out of working hours visits or response. Duty period can be claimed back through the On Duty Allowances or appropriate CS allowance on My HR. Provide Army Engagement (AE) support, training and education to Units within PRU East Area of Responsibility (AOR) to ensure Unit understanding of PRD management across the AOR is delivered in order to maximise Return to Duty (RTD). Support and deliver courses and training to Military Units across the AOR. Carry out any further tasks as directed by Officer Commanding and Commanding Officer. Other tasks as Commensurate with the grade as directed by Line Management.
