Multi Tradesperson (decoration, joinery, maintenance) - Prison
Multi Tradesperson Required
We are looking for a Multi-tradesperson to undertake a wide range of maintenance works in domestic properties within the prison, to include decoration, joinery and general maintenance and repairs.
The role is initially for 3 months with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
32 days holiday per year
39 hours per week, 1 in 4 weekends
Role Specific Requirements:
1. Required checks EL1 or EL2
2. Due to security vetting, candidates must have at least 3 years of continuous residency within the UK.
Responsibilities:
1. Care and maintenance of tools, plant, materials and additional company property
2. Health and Safety of self and others in the workplace in accordance with company policy
3. Delivery of works allocated to quality required within set timescales.
4. Compliance with instructions and directives from line management and the Central Co-ordination Team
5. To comply with relevant company Health & Safety Policy, instructions and directives
6. To deliver fabric repairs in both occupied and void properties
7. To undertake out of hours call out duties as per rota requirements
Qualifications:
1. Time served apprenticeship in a relevant trade
2. City & Guilds, NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in joinery or similar discipline
3. Current full UK driving licence
Skills:
1. Basic numeracy and literacy skills

4. Minor plumbing - Desirable
5. Minor plastering - Desirable
6. Interpersonal skills
7. Time Management
8. Ability to use PDA device
9. Good awareness and understanding of personal health and safety, method statements and risk assessments
