Salary: £32,000 – £40,000 (DOE) Bonus Scheme Out-of-Hours Uplift We are looking to appoint a Junior Solicitor to join a well-regarded Criminal Team, working across a diverse caseload that includes both general criminal defence and regulatory prosecution matters. This is an exciting opportunity for a solicitor in the early stages of their career to gain valuable experience on both sides of the prosecution/defence divide, working alongside a team of experienced and respected practitioners. We are a long-established firm with offices in Bolton Town Centre and Manchester City Centre, providing a comprehensive range of legal services to both companies and individuals. Our firm has been Law Society accredited for Criminal Litigation, which means this criminal defence team has met the high standards required by the Law Society - demonstrating, through external examination, a sustained high level of knowledge, skills, experience, and practice in the area of criminal litigation. What we’re looking for: A qualified solicitor with a genuine interest in criminal law. Experience in prosecution work is advantageous but not essential – full training will be provided. We are not seeking a duty solicitor, as our criminal defence work is primarily own client based. Police Station Accreditation would be beneficial, though not essential. Additional Information: Salary range: £32,000 to £40,000, depending on experience. Bonus scheme available. Out-of-hours call-outs paid at £115 per call. The successful candidate will need to work a minimum of 3 days per week in the office to allow for in-person training on the regulatory side of the role.
