Maintenance Electrician

Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum + Call Out & Overtime
We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join a team at a large pharmaceutical facility in Borehamwood. This role involves performing both planned and reactive maintenance as part of a dedicated team of engineers.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in Facilities Management or alternatively have experience completing general maintenance tasks in a commercial environment. This site offers additional training opportunities and will openly consider someone looking to gain additional skillsets or enhance their skills in the plumbing field. You will be working on government healthcare facilities, looking after a mixture of labs, office spaces, and hospitality areas.
Key Responsibilities for a Maintenance Electrician:
1. Carry out planned maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
2. Respond to reactive maintenance requests and troubleshoot electrical issues promptly.
3. Perform repairs and installations as required.
4. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
5. Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
6. Participate in a 1 in 4 weeks call-out rota, with a standby payment of £100 per week and a minimum of 4 hours paid per call-out.
Qualifications/Experience required for a Maintenance Electrician:
1. Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in electrical engineering (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds 18th Edition).
2. Experience: Proven experience in maintenance electrical work, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting.
3. Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
