In addition a TLR 2.2 is offered for Head of MFL. This job is {Full Time/ Part Time/ Part Time - Term Time Only:} for 1265 annual hours. It is offered on a Permanent basis. {Fixed Term Duration or End Date:} Approximate start date Summer/Autumn Term 2025. Required for April/September 2025 an enthusiastic, well-qualified and successful classroom practitioner to lead our successful and vibrant MFL department. You would be joining a team of 3 experienced language specialists who consistently achieve excellent results. About the role We are looking for a colleague who can teach Spanish up to GCSE level; the ability to teach French to this level would also be desirable. Since September, we have moved to a single-language curriculum, teaching Spanish in KS3, with Spanish and French being taught in Years 10 and 11. The department also offers Spanish and French at A-Level in our very successful Joint Sixth form. As a Trust we are exploring ways of making languages a sustainable option at KS5 through collaboration with other schools. As a former language college, the school has retained its commitment to languages and the department is one of the highest performing in the school. Last year we also introduced Latin and Ancient History as part of the curriculum, which is part of our exciting plan to grow and embed the study of languages and cultures across the school.
