Role: Field Service Maintenance Engineer
Location: Based from Norfolk but working field based
Working hours: Monday to Friday – Up to 10 hour shifts daily
Capacity of role: Permanent positions
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum – depending on experience
Our client is currently recruiting for a field based maintenance engineer to join their busy servicing team. Candidates will need to be flexible to working hours and location due to the job role. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving and reputable local organisation.
Main duties will include:
1. Using all necessary equipment and service kits to conduct the assigned work on the works van and liaising with the office for additional supplies where necessary.
2. Maintaining a professional relationship with customers and their staff and being accountable for own conduct as a representative of the business.
3. Performing all maintenance and repair work thoroughly, in a safe manner, and in accordance with all laid down service instructions.
4. Ensuring all paperwork, whether in hard copy or completed via an issued tablet/iPad, is completed properly and received by the office in a timely manner and in good condition.
5. Reporting all call-outs to the Office as soon as possible. During nominated call out periods, ensuring phone is kept on and responded to in a timely fashion. Keeping nominated call out dates free of holiday and other commitments and notifying the office immediately of any perceived conflicts.
6. Maintaining allocated service vehicle in good condition and performing all daily and weekly checks.
7. Ensuring that all work equipment is maintained, including ladder checks and tags, PAT testing, calibrations, and associated pre-use checks.
8. Ensuring that all purchases made with the assigned company credit card are wholly necessary and for the sole use of work-related purchasing. Maintaining credit card sheets, receipts, and any other paperwork required by the finance department.
9. Completing all assigned training courses within the allocated timeframe. Ensuring that all CSCS cards, similar schemes, or competency cards required to hold are maintained.
Candidate attributes:
1. CSCS Card holder
2. Ability to drive and hold a full UK driving licence
3. Ability to communicate at all levels.
4. Ideally will have similar experience – Field based engineering
5. Ability and awareness of technical competence
6. Ideally will have 17th edition or be qualified to City and Guilds Level 3.
