Role Title: Finance Director Salary: circa £100,000 plus excellent package Location: Kent plus UK travel Our client is an international logistics organisation, who are seeking to recruit a Finance Director to direct the financial operations and strategic financial planning of the business. Reporting to the CEO, the Finance Director is pivotal in driving financial performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, leading transformation and innovation, and steering sustainable profitable growth. Responsibilities will include: Creating a best-in-class finance function, with an emphasis on accurate reporting, controls and systems, and working capital management Developing and implementing financial strategies aligned with the business objectives and pivotal to the development of long-term business direction Working closely with business units in driving commerciality and ownership, to maximise value through active commercial analytics, pricing management and developing margin improvement strategies Leading the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for stakeholders Directing the budgeting process, forecasting and variance analysis to ensure financial targets are met and conducting financial modelling and scenario analysis to evaluate potential business opportunities and risks Mentoring the finance team, promoting a culture of high performance, accountability, and professional development, ensuring collaboration within the finance team and across internal stakeholders Developing and maintaining a Risk Management framework to identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, leading the business approach to audit Acting as an agent for positive change, collaborating to promote efficiency, consistency in analysis of operational costs, instilling a cadence of review to identify areas for performanceimprovement Candidate requirements: Fully qualified accountancy professional with preferred experience in the Logistics, Freight Management or Transportation sector A successful track record in a senior finance leadership role, minimum of 10 years of progressive financial management experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position Extensive experience in financial strategy development and execution in a complex, fast-paced environment Demonstrable track record of taking a business through growth and process transformation, leveraging new technology in a practical way to drive consistency and efficiency Record of building and shaping high performing teams Background in M&A, Buy & Build and Integration is desirable If you are curious and inquisitive by nature, with the intellectual capacity to contribute and influence as a member of the SLT, please send your CV in Word format, quoting reference 32239/LT/EL detailing your current remuneration package and availability.
