We are looking for a Project Manager to join our expanding team. The individual will be responsible for all aspects in the delivery of Smoke Ventilation and Fire Alarm Systems. The Project Manager must have a background within the industry and be able to liaise confidently with clients, and senior management.
1. To manage and deliver projects as directed to specification, on time and within budget.
2. To liaise with and promote good working relationships with FDS clients to assist project delivery and promote future work.
3. To manage all technical aspects of the project and ensure full compliance with specification and current legislation especially Health & Safety Issues regarding Public Safety and to issue the necessary method statements and Risk Assessments for each project and all other relevant documentation.
4. To inspect and manage all details of the installation work ensuring installation quality and performance of FDS operatives or subcontractors.
5. To best represent FDS interests and protect and defend all contractual and commercial relationships with clients and suppliers.
6. To manage all financially related issues with respect to each allocated project including procurement, invoicing and assist in debt collection as required.
7. To follow all designated due process as defined within the FDS quality manual and report accurately the current status of all designated projects as required via the contract reporting system and programmes.
8. To carry out a final review post commissioning to ensure compliance to specification and design constraints and sign off accordingly.
9. To ensure all O&M information and certification for the FDS life safety installed systems are adequately prepared, accurate and issued in a timely fashion.
10. To best represent the interests of the company at all times.
11. Experience in the Fire Industry would be a requirement for this role and experience of Smoke Venting type installations would be preferable.
