We are looking for aBand7Advanced Mental Health Practitioner forone yearMaternity cover,to joinWest BerksCAMHS, whichis part ofthe widerWest SpecialistCommunityTeams(SCT)which cover Wokingham, Reading and Newbury.Thisis a full-timepost basedatCAMHS, Lower Henwick Farmhouse, Thatcham, Newbury.
Our SCT Teams are multi-disciplinary teams that deliver treatments to young people in theWest Berksareawho areliving with more complex, severe, and enduring mental health problems. As a result, you will find yourself working jointly with other professions such as Children’sSocialCare.
The ideal clinician willbe experienced in working with CAMHS or equivalent services, to support children and families with complex needs. They need tobe thoughtful and reflective, and someone whois a team player.We are an experienced team and as aServiceweare able toprovide a supportive structure.
TheWest Berksteam is warm, compassionate, and welcoming. Youwill beprovided witha supportiveinduction, regularsupervisionand plenty of in-house training opportunities. We also have our free parking on-site. Caseloads are protected and manageable despite a waitlist for treatment.
Staffwellbeing and development is a priority for the team, alongside clinical and management supervision,there is dedicated time for reflective case discussion and team formulation, wellbeing activities and support.
• To complete risk reviews and update safety and care plans for patients and give advice.
• Provide comprehensive assessments and therapeutic interventions to young people and their families, asappropriate.
• Provide care coordination for young people open to theService.
• Independently manage an appropriately sized caseload.
• Use supervision effectively.
• To work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team as well as patients, carers, family members and internal and external agencies
• Work autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise.responsibility for the systematic governance of psychological practice.
• Maintain own continuing professional development and contribute to team professional development initiatives.
• To consult with members of the Multi-Disciplinary Team to ensure effective and safe care planning for young people.
• Toidentifyand report any safeguarding issues as they may arise.
