Description Permanent contract | £42,463 to £46,732 per annum (Scale K) | 37 hours per week | Hellesdon Hospital, Norwich We offer a £2000 welcome payment for qualified and experienced Social Workers/Occupational Therapists (grade J and above), Practice Consultants and Team Managers new to Norfolk County Council. If you are well-versed in timely decision-making and risk management, have a passion for adhering to statutory duties and best practice guidance, and possess the skills and experience to support Social Workers and practitioners in following the self-neglect protocol, this role may be for you. You will be responsible for reviewing and meeting service users' S117 MHA duties, leading preventative interventions and strengths-based practice, and supporting the implementation of the Care Act 2014, s42 Duties, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Criminal Justice Act 2003, and Mental Health Act 1983 (as amended in 2007, including CTOs). Additionally, you will uphold human rights and ethical social work values. As part of our Central Social Care & Health Team, you will support the management team in delivering our statutory functions while contributing to the ongoing progress of our Living Well approach. As a Practice Consultant, you will take a leadership role in working and communicating with GP surgeries, housing authorities, the homeless team, carers and families, NSFT/ICB, CRHTT, NFS, EHSS, Children’s Services, Prison Services, MASH and all our partner agencies.
