The aim is to help residents access learning and work opportunities, as well help employers get the right people, with the right skills, in the right roles. As a Team Leader you will support a team of Employment Specialists to provide advice, guidance and 1:1 support for people with disabilities and/or health issues who require support to move into employment. You will also manage a small caseload of individuals. About YouYou will have experience of managing a team including performance management and a focus on achieving outcomes. Your communication skills will provide you with the ability to develop a range of close links with partnerships; including other GCC teams, welfare to work providers and employers; with the aim of increasing skills base, knowledge and the opportunities available. Experience of working with a fidelity model eg: supported employment or Individual Placement and Support (IPS) is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.You must be customer focussed and ideally have knowledge of employment policies, procedures and welfare services; including the ability to develop your understanding of local labour-market demographics; enabling you to work with local employers to match their needs to the abilities of individuals.You must hold a full UK driving licence as you will be required to travel around the county.
