MWH Treatment is looking to strengthen their Engineering Leadership team with a Mechanical Regional Discipline Lead. You'll be working directly on MWH Treatments joint venture partnership, the Cambridge Waste Water Treatment Plant Relocation Project. With an ever-growing population and increasing customer expectations across the region, several exciting and career enhancing projects are being undertaken to create a forward-thinking, sustainable and industry-leading Water and Water Recycling Service. One of these projects is the Cambridge Relocation Project. Anglian Water’s new flagship Cambridge Waste Water Treatment Plant Relocation Project (CWWTPRP) proposed development involves the relocation of the existing Cambridge Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) currently operating at Cowley Road, Cambridge, to a new site between Horningsea, Fen Ditton and Stow cum Quy, adjacent to the A14 in Cambridgeshire. As an instrumental member of the Engineering Leadership Team, you will report directly to the Engineering Director and adopt the role of lead technical authority for mechanical engineering aspects of the project. As Mechanical Regional Discipline Lead, you will provide engineering technical direction to the mechanical discipline engineers and ensure an effective team is maintained to integrate all mechanical design elements across all zones & phases of the scheme and ensure right first-time functionality through design, construction, commissioning and takeover. You will also provide design support for the Cambridge Relocation Project as required, ensuring all designs are fit for purpose and meet current legislation and standards. You will be responsible for checking and reviewing mechanical deliverables produced by other mechanical engineers and the supply chain to ensure that processes and procedures are followed. You will coach and mentor junior and less experienced members of the mechanical engineering team and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure the project solution is providing best value for business, completed on time, to budget, and to the correct quality. You’ll also collaborate with other stakeholders throughout the business to drive continuous developments in engineering, design, and innovation.
