Job summary This is a clinical post within Swansea Bay University Health Board (SBUHB) Community Dental Service (CDS). As a member of thedental team, you will be required to travel to any of the CDS clinics within SBUHB/occasionally Princess of Wales Hospital, Bridgend asnecessary. Be flexible and adaptable to cope with a variety of locations and client groups. Provide chair side and administration support to clinical staff in fixed clinics, and during domiciliary dental care visits in patienthomes including care homes and secure units. Other duties include, supporting sedation and GA clinics. Participating inepidemiological surveys and oral health promotion are also part of the core duties. Main duties of the job The CDS provides dental care for the following groups of patients, children and adults who:- Are medically compromised- Have learning difficulties- Have mental health problems- Have special care requirements including physical disabilities- Experience disproportionate dental anxiety- Have complex social problems and cannot obtain dental care- Are in rehabilitation and secure units- Require the use of a wheelchair platform or bariatric services The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
