This warm & welcoming SEN specialist school are looking for a graduate who can work alongside their primary & secondary class teachers to ensure students are engaged and excited about performing arts lessons.
As a Performing Arts Teaching Assistant, you would be expected to have knowledge of art, music and performing arts combined with a patient and proactive manner to support the school’s students who are likely to have an autism diagnosis.
The role is initially for two terms with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. It is designed to give you a fantastic insight / experience into a future career in education in this Performing Arts Teaching Assistant. General classroom support will also be expected as part of this role.

Performing Arts Teaching Assistant – The role:
1. Performing Arts Teaching Assistant

3. Work across primary & secondary phases
4. Working with students on a 1:1 and group basis
5. Long-term, full-time support role
6. £450 – £550 term time weekly rate

9. Person Specification – Performing Arts Teaching Assistant
10. Minimum 2:1 degree in a performing arts related subject
11. Strong academic background e.g. A Levels
12. Passion for art, music & performing arts
13. Prior education experience is desired
14. Desire to work with SEN
15. Strong communication skills
