We are seeking an experienced Fire & Safety Service Manager to lead a team of engineers and office support staff while overseeing service and small works projects. This role involves managing a variety of fire & security engineering projects, including some LV electrical installation works, ensuring they are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Fire & Safety Service Manager Role: As a Fire & Safety Service Manager, you will be responsible for: Managing a team of 4 office-based support staff and around 10 engineers, including 2 regular sub-contractors Visiting customer sites across London, the South East, and nationally to oversee contract works, ensure customer satisfaction, and identify potential new projects. Desk-based meetings with colleagues, quoting and assisting with tendering for new works. Preparing RAMS, CPPs, and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations. Collaborating with CAD specialists, stores, admin, and operations teams. Managing projects while ensuring adherence to H&S, CDM, environmental, NSI/BAFE, and contract risk requirements. Overseeing projects for a varied client base, including prestigious, high-security, and historic sites. Potential for short-term overseas travel. Providing telephone support to engineers and customers as part of an on-call duty rota (one week per month after six months). What They Are Looking For: Essential: 10 years' experience in the fire/security industry. Proven ability to manage and deliver a varied portfolio of work. Experience managing a team of engineers and office support staff. Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in project management and compliance. Qualification in a relevant discipline with a broad electrical installation engineering background (10 years post-training). Experience managing projects with a strong understanding of compliance, risk, H&S, and contract management. Full UK driving licence. Highly organised with strong problem-solving skills. Strong IT and administrative skills, with proficiency in Microsoft tools. Candidates must be willing and able to undergo security industry (BS7858) and UK Government vetting-only those who successfully pass this process can be considered for the Fire & Safety Service Manager role. Desirable: Experience working in prestigious, secure, or historic buildings. Familiarity with CAD & SimPro (or similar software).
