Job Title: Technical Business Analyst Location: Hybrid/Sheffield Job Type: Contract immediate - March 2025 (likely extension) Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Technical Business Analyst to join our clients dynamic team. As a Technical Business Analyst, you will support their migration to 'JIRA Cloud'. We’re looking for a BA that has JIRA experience and potentially has supported 'JIRA Cloud' migrations in the past. Key Responsibilities: Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders (business users, product managers, etc.) to gather and document business requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of their needs and objectives. Process Analysis: Analyse and map business processes, identifying areas for improvement or automation, and aligning them with technical solutions. Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed technical specifications, user stories, and use cases that clearly define system requirements and expected functionalities. System Design & Testing: Work closely with development teams to ensure that technical solutions meet business requirements and assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure system functionality aligns with expectations. Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams, facilitating communication to ensure mutual understanding and timely delivery of solutions. Project Management Support: Assist in project planning and tracking, contributing to timelines, risk management, and progress reporting. Data Analysis: Analyse data sets to support decision-making and uncover insights, ensuring business decisions are informed by accurate data. Continuous Improvement: Proactively suggest process improvements and system enhancements that align with business goals Technical Skills: JIRA Cloud migration experience is a must Proficient in SQL, data analysis, and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). Understanding of software development processes (Agile, Scrum). Experience with system integration, APIs, and databases. Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business processes, project management, and ability to communicate business needs to technical teams. Problem Solving: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to break down complex issues into manageable solutions. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information in an easily understandable way for non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Skills: Knowledge of specific business sectors (e.g., Finance, Healthcare, E-Commerce) is a plus. Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) or Agile methodology (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster). Experience with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello)
