As a Transport & Network Analyst you will overseethe day to day planning of the transport operation and optimisation of the logistics network. A highly motivated and driven individual, you will have previous experience working in a busy transport department, be able to deal with day to day challenges and provide cost effective solutions for our customers. Key Duties: Optimising the routing and scheduling of our delivery network for cost and customer service whilst ensuring compliance with relevant legislation. Mapping new customer delivery/collection locations and re-balancing delivery/trunk routes to accommodate changing customer demands. Planning daily delivery and collection routes from our network of distribution centres across the UK. Working closely with the account management team to resolve customer queries and arrange timely and cost-efficient solutions for exceptional and/or emergency customer requirements. Working with other internal teams and our haulage partners to arrange for timely and efficient movement of goods between distribution centres. Collaborating with other departments to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency. Experience required: Demonstrable previous experience as an Analyst/Planner in a busy and demanding logistics environment, including experience working with mapping and/or transport planning software. Excellent problem solving, analytical, data management and organisational skills. Able to make decisions under pressure and to a tight timescale. Flexible and adaptable approach to working in order to meet the requirements of the business, particularly at peak periods during the year. Able to communicate well at all levels within the business. Highly motivated and able to work as part of a small friendly team as well as under your own initiative.
