As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Non Clinical Deputy Manager to join our leadership team.
Job Description:
As a Non Clinical Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the care home, ensuring high standards of care, compliance, and staff management. You will play a key role in ensuring that our residents receive person-centered care and that the home runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership & Management: Assist the Registered Manager in the effective management of the care home, including leading and motivating the care team.
* Quality Assurance: Ensure that the home meets and exceeds all regulatory requirements, including CQC standards, and maintains excellent service delivery.
* Care Planning: Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of individual care plans to meet the needs and preferences of each resident.
* Staff Management: Assist with recruitment, training, and supervision of staff, ensuring all team members are supported and adhere to best practices.
* Compliance: Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding protocols, and care standards.
* Resident Care: Actively participate in providing high-quality care, acting as a role model for staff, and building strong relationships with residents and their families.
* Operational Support: Assist with administrative duties, financial management, and budgetary control to ensure the home operates efficiently.
* On-Call Duties: Participate in the on-call rota to provide management support outside of normal working hours.
What We’re Looking For:
* Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 or above in Health and Social Care (Level 5 desirable) or equivalent qualification.
* Experience: Proven experience in a Deputy Manager role within a residential care setting.
* Knowledge: Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding, and person-centered care principles.
* Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, and staff.
* Compassion: A genuine passion for working with elderly people, with a caring and empathetic approach.
* Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
