Andy File Associates Limited is working as a Recruitment Agency on behalf of our client with regards to this permanent part-time position.
Our client is a well-established leading firm of solicitors based in Sheffield. They are a forward-thinking organisation and one of the leading law firms in South Yorkshire well known for delivering excellent levels of client care.
Role Purpose
The successful Legal Secretary will provide integral administrative support to the Head of Department and fee earners within the Clinical Negligence team. You will be responsible for managing time and paperwork for claim handlers and be the first point of contact for enquiries related to their cases. This is ideal for candidates with secretarial experience in legal or other professional service roles. This role is part-time, 28 hours across 4 days per week.
Key Areas of Responsibility
* Producing high quality and timely correspondence.
* Responding to telephone calls and email enquiries.
* Completing forms and preparing Court documents and electronic bundles.
* Undertaking audio and copy typing of letters and documents.
* Managing diary tasks and handling file opening processes, invoicing, and billing procedures.
* Administering and progressing cases using the company's CRM/Management System.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience in a secretarial role, ideally within a legal or Personal Injury department.
* Experience in Clinical Negligence or litigation and an understanding of relevant Court processes.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A confident and proactive approach with a high level of attention to detail.
Abilities, Skills and Knowledge:
* Managing a varied and busy workload.
* Handling phone calls and client inquiries.
* Performing audio typing and transcribing legal documents.
* Providing administrative support, such as scheduling and correspondence.
* Assisting the Team Leader and Fee Earners with document preparation and organisational tasks.
