Spirehouse is currently supporting a West Midlands-based Housing Association in need of a Data Protection Officer.\n\nThe Opportunity:\n\nMy client in the West Midlands is seeking an experienced Data Protection Officer permanently. The role is essential in ensuring that our organisation complies with all UK GDPR requirements. As the DPO, you will update and maintain a data protection strategy.
The DPO will protect the organisation, residents, and employees from privacy breaches, fraud, and security threats.\n\nThe successful candidate will:\n\n * Act as the data protection key point of contact for internal colleagues, residents, providers and external regulators and Information Commissioner\n\n * Process Subject Access Requests (SARS) in a timely and efficient manner\n\n * Develop key documentation and policies in relation to data protection, data processing, sharing agreements and impact assessments\n\n * Conduct regular audits and assessment to guarantee GDPR compliance\n\n * Develop and deliver training on all relevant UK GDPR compliance requirements\n\n * Inform and advise colleagues on their obligations to comply with the UK GDPR and other data protection laws\n\n * Support and advise colleagues in completing and maintaining key documentation\n\nFurther information:\n\n * Interviews to commence 21st April\n\n * Permanent Position\n\n * £37,926 per annum\n\n * Full-time working pattern – 37.5 hours\n\n * Hybrid 2 days office based\n\nRequirements:\n\n * Accredited qualifications in data protection and risk management\n\n * Expertise in data protection laws and substantial understanding of UK GDPR\n\n * Preferable experience with this type of post within Social Housing however not a necessity\n\nPlease apply for this role online or contact Kim Parsons at Spirehouse for a confidential discussion.\n\nSpirehouse Recruitment is an equal opportunities employment business and employment agency.
