This role will be a full-time, 12 month fixed term contract starting in July 2025 and will be paid London living wage.

The Privacy Office at Sony Pictures, operating within the General Counsel department, is responsible for managing and mitigating privacy risks to the company and upholding trust within the entertainment industry. Our goal is to protect and respect individuals' privacy rights while enabling business objectives in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
This internship will be placed as a Privacy Analyst in the EMEA Privacy Technology & Operations team and will provide input and support for the development and delivery of SPE’s Global Privacy Program to all SPE offices, subsidiaries and Film/TV productions in EMEA.
What you'll do:
* Support the management of the Privacy Partnership Program and provide input on how best to produce meaningful insights on the SPE Privacy Program for senior leadership.
* Engage with business stakeholders to understand business practices, gathering and facilitating the convergence of business, technical and legal requirements.
* Support the Data Subject Rights process by facilitating the completion of privacy rights requests.
* Support the completion of Privacy Impact Assessments by engaging with stakeholders to understand the business objective and gathering the business, technical and legal requirements.
* Support the privacy team in relation to incident response activities to identify, assess and determine the privacy impacts of incidents.
* Assist in the creation and improvement of privacy processes and documentation (e.g., presentation decks, process flowchart, standard operating procedure).
* Be there to aid and learn alongside the team on all privacy related projects.
What you have:
* Passion for privacy, security, and the intersection of technology and law.
* Understanding of UK & European privacy regulations and principles (e.g. UK Data Protection Act, GDPR).
* Familiarity with privacy-enhancing technologies (e.g. encryption, anonymization).
* Basic understanding of programming/scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, or similar) is a plus.
* Understanding of web technologies (HTTP, APIs, databases) and data management practices.
* Knowledge of, and interest in, the entertainment industry.
* Well-developed interpersonal communication, oral, written and presentation skills; the ability to disseminate information in a clear, professional manner.
* Organised with an attention to detail and accuracy.
* Experience with Microsoft Office products including PowerPoint, Excel, Teams and SharePoint is a plus.
* IAPP (International Association of Privacy Professionals) Certification(s) preferred, but not required. (e.g., CIPP, CIPT, CIPM, etc.)
