Every child deserves someone in their corner—someone who listens, guides, and believes in them. That someone could be you.
Whether you’re looking to develop as a teaching assistant or make a career change, our Classroom Academy is designed to help you thrive. This isn’t just a job; it’s an opportunity to inspire children, support their learning, and become part of their success story.
No matter your background, if you’ve got the heart and drive, we’ll give you the training and support to succeed.
Who Thrives in This Role?
We’ve seen people from a wide range of professions excel as teaching assistants. This could be your next step if you’ve been:
* A Sports Coach: You know how to motivate, guide, and encourage.
* A Support Worker: You’re familiar with adapting to individual needs.
* A Play Leader: You understand the power of engagement and fun.
* A Prison Officer: You’ve mastered patience, resilience, and the ability to connect.
* A Volunteer or Mentor: You’ve already seen the impact of helping others grow.
Whether you’ve worked with children or supported individuals in another capacity, your unique experiences are valuable.
What Makes This Role Special?
* It’s All About Impact: You’ll provide 1:1 support to children who need extra help—whether it’s managing emotions, keeping up with schoolwork, or building confidence.
* You’ll Be Their Anchor: Some children struggle to navigate the world around them. You’ll be the constant presence they can rely on.
* It’s a Career with Purpose: You’re not just clocking in; you’re making a real difference every day.
Why the Classroom Academy?
We’re here to equip you with everything you need to succeed:
* Tailored Training: Learn about safeguarding, managing challenging behaviors, understanding SEND, and creating inclusive environments.
* Expert Mentorship: Benefit from the wisdom of experienced SEND educators.
* Hands-On Experience: Apply your training in schools where you can make an immediate impact.
* Flexibility Meets Growth: Whether you prefer regular part-time shifts or a full-time role, we’ll work with your schedule while offering opportunities to grow.
What We’re Looking For
* People with a Passion: You care about helping children succeed and thrive, no matter their challenges.
* Experience with Kids or Vulnerable Groups: Coaching, mentoring, volunteering, or working in care—you’ve supported others and want to do more.
* Commitment and Adaptability: Be available for shifts starting at 8:30 AM and ending at 3:30 PM. We offer flexible part-time roles and full-time opportunities for those ready to dive in.
* Empathy and Resilience: Because every child deserves patience, kindness, and understanding.
The Mission
This is a 1:1 role. It’s about connecting with a child who needs support and tailoring your approach to help them thrive. You’ll help them manage emotions, tackle academic challenges, and feel confident in themselves.
Each day will be different. Some days, it’s about helping with reading or math. Other days, it’s about being a steady presence when life feels overwhelming. You’ll make a difference simply by showing up and believing in them.
