The Market Development Manager, Northern Europe, will be focused on growing the CHEP business in adjacent sectors, retailers and with new products & services - working closely with local Commercial, Finance & Supply Chain teams, as well as our European Insight & Marketing teams, to help us to achieve our growth aspirations.
This will be achieved in part through identifying our next big target market opportunities, creating and delivering upon a plan to unlock the opportunities using existing products and services where possible. They will also work with our Strategy team, in order to build business cases for new products and/or services to complement our existing portfolio, helping to deliver growth for CHEP for not only today and, tomorrow but also for the long term.
Key Responsibilities:
* Creation of a rolling 3-year Market Development strategy to deliver growth across all CHEP/Brambles business units in the UKI.
* Acquisition and creation of key information to steer the business Integrated Business Planning process.
* Creation and implementation of new service offers, to achieve growth with existing product portfolio.
* Assess success, what good looks like and be agile with the plan in order to deliver successful results across all CHEP business units:
* Retail/Store Solutions
* Inbound Solutions
* DCS (Digital Customer Solutions)
* NPD and Innovation
Skills and Experience:
* Able to understand the needs of the customer - to articulate them, and then deliver solutions that improve customer experience.
* Able to turn data into insight & deliver up on it – What? So What? Now What?
* Understanding how to sell against value, rather than price alone. Experience of working with solution-based selling based on total cost of ownership.
* An analytical mindset while working comfortably with financial models and Value Chain Analysis.
* Relationship management.
* Comfortable working across all levels internally and externally while being able to work and influence cross functionally.
* A curious, creative thinker who is capable of predicting and analysing relevant trends.
* Project Management/ Execution.
* A structured approach to execution and follow up with the ability to generate operational plans from completed projects and an understanding the importance of measurement.
Preferred Education: Bachelors
Preferred Level of Work Experience: 5 - 7 years
