Children's Home Registered Manager
Location: Nottingham
Contract: Full-time, Permanent (39 hours/week)
Salary: £44,041.10 (OTE up to £49,641.10 with bonuses)
Are you a passionate leader ready to empower young people? On behalf of our client, a well-established care provider, we're recruiting a Registered Manager for a brand-new 4-bed children's home in Nottingham. This is your chance to shape a service that fosters emotional resilience and supports young people as they transition to adulthood.
About the role:
1. Build from Scratch: Lead the day-to-day operations of a new home, delivering high-quality care aligned with organisational values.
2. Make an Impact: Help vulnerable young people achieve their potential in a nurturing environment.
3. Strong Support: Report to experienced Operational Directors and collaborate with a dedicated team.
39 hours/week, including sleep-in shifts and some office-based admin days. Join a provider established in 1993, committed to exceptional residential care.
Your Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all aspects of the home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted, SCCIF, and relevant legislation.
2. Lead and develop a team, promoting a culture of excellence and safeguarding.
3. Manage budgets, rotas, and resources to meet financial and operational targets.
4. Drive admissions, discharges, and innovative care practices.
5. Build relationships with external agencies and commissioners.
Requirements:
1. Experience managing a team in a similar setting.
2. Diploma Level 5 (or willingness to work towards it).
3. In-depth knowledge of child protection, safeguarding, and safe working practices.
4. Strong leadership, resilience, and the ability to innovate.
5. Full UK driving licence and flexibility for on-call/sleep-in duties.
Salary: £44,000, with OTE up to £49,600. Bonuses: £2,000 for an Outstanding Ofsted + £300/month for full occupancy. Paid on-call. 25 days' leave + 8 bank holidays. Petrol allowance (with business insurance) and pension scheme. Comprehensive training and development opportunities.
